David Lashley was born Columbus, Ohio and raised in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He is the oldest of three children. He was not raised in a Christian home.

However, when his brother was in middle school, he got into trouble. His parents would send his brother to church with the neighbors. David watched his brother. He saw the changes, and he noticed his brother was a little different.

The neighbors that David’s brother went to church with were his wife’s family. He had known his wife all his life. They started dating when they were around 14 years old. He then started going to church with her. He got saved. They have been married for 35 years.

David started working as a court bailiff early in the marriage. His faith has been strengthened after seeing so many felony and divorce cases. He decided he wanted his life to be an example for Christ in his profession.

David is a judicial protection professional, martial arts instructor, and founder of Lashley Training Center. With more than two decades of experience operating in high-pressure courtroom environments, he has spent his career studying human behavior, conflict, and decision-making under stress.

Today, David teaches leadership under pressure, situational awareness, and practical self-protection for everyday people. Blending martial arts principles, real-world experience, and mindset development, he helps individuals build confidence, stay calm in chaos, and protect what matters most.
