An Unbroken Bond - Part 1
In this clear biblical teaching, we are encouraged and learn from God's Word that we have an "Unbroken Bond and Nothing Can Separate Us from the Love of God," which is Christ Jesus our Lord! In the book of Romans, the Apostle Paul lays a theological foundation and the facts of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He asks and answers seven rhetorical questions. Our foundational text in Romans 8:35-39, focuses on the sixth and seventh questions. Regardless of our present situation or circumstances, everything God will ever do has already been done through the finished work of Jesus Christ. We discuss in detail the pure, unconditional, and transformative love of Christ. It is the divine love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the lover of our souls, that changes us forever. We are never the same again!
In the seventh rhetorical question, the Apostle Paul presents seven hard, intense circumstances that the saints at Rome encountered during his day.
In our modern-day society, we all face the same hard, intense circumstances.
In this angry, malicious world, we will be hated and persecuted because we love Christ and stand for righteousness. We will be pressured to abandon the faith and the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be tried on every hand.
What does it look like when a believer takes a stand for the truth of God's Word, in the midst of troublesome times?
How do we respond to the gender identity crisis? How do we respond to same sex marriages?
Are we allowing the culture, society, and the world to silence the church? Or have we, the church, taken a silent, indifferent approach?
Are we practicing what we preach?
Where are the true disciples, the real followers of Jesus Christ?
Where is the love of Christ in all the trouble around us?
We share the glorious light of the Gospel and speak the truth of God's Word to these concerns and issues.
We end this lesson with practical applications that will keep us focused on biblical truth and strengthen the bond of love that exists between us and the Lord!
